Saint-Nicolas-des-Eaux

Aller en bas

A concentrate of charm

The hamlet of Saint-Nicolas-des-Eaux climbs up the hill. In the heart of the village, the Saint-Nicolas chapel and its fountain are surrounded by pretty old houses covered with thatch.

After walking 3 km (59842,52ft) along the towpath that runs alongside the Blavet, you come across the fascinating chapel dedicated to Saint Gildas. Set in a green setting on the water's edge, it is built into the hollow of a rock and is reflected in the waters of the Blavet on the other bank.

Only 2 km (6561,68ft) from Saint-Nicolas, the incredible Saint-Nicodème chapel is suddenly revealed. It is impossible to miss its openwork spire because of its size and majesty. Its fountain is unique, consisting of three basins carved from the same block of granite.

With family or friends, the Anne Mesia trail game offers an original way to explore the village.
