The One Thousand Year Village at Melrand
Get yourself at the heart of the Middle Ages
Discover the daily life of the Middle Ages’ country people through this archeological site.
The village offers a view of our ancestors’life. It is exploited with a garden presenting plants used at the time, with the restoration of farm buildings nessecary to the farmer’s life, and animal races nearing those they might breed 1000 years ago.
Every year, the « Village de l’an Mil » offers entertainments througout the seasons. Over a day or a month, young and elder can take part during their visit. These unusual moments enable the discovering of a Middle Ages village in an unexpected way and by walkin around it freely. A way to learn and have fun !

Opening 2022
Opening period: all year around.
July and August from 11am to 6pm.
Outside this period do not hesitate to contact the village of An Mil to know the openings.
Open all year round for groups (minimum 10 people) on reservation.
Rates 2022
Adult: 6,50€
Child from 6 to 18 years old: 4,50€
Chil less than 6 years old: free
Family pass (2 adults + 2 children): 16,60€
Adult group rate from 10 persons: from 4,50 to 6,70€
Adult group rate from 10 children: from 3,30 to 7,90€
