Menhirs of Kernars at Saint-Barthélémy
Kernars menhirs
Near the Blavet and St Adrien’s village and its chapel, two listed menhirs remain in a field, visible from the road.
The standing stones remain enigmatic as to their function in the Neolithic period. This pair of menhirs measure 4.20 metres and 3.20 metres. Were they always solitary or were they part of a larger alignment? The mystery remains.
